The Kartell catalog is enriched by a new piece of furniture: the chest of drawers. Reexamined by Starck, Kartell's stylish commode reminds the classic furniture in the forms, but is totally contemporary because of the plastic material with which it is produced and because of the transparency. On its surface alternate angles and curves, and straight and sinuous lines, to give life to an intriguing game of perspectives and reflections that capture the look. Composed of three open boards in the front and supported on four legs of two faces, Ghost Buster is the largest monoblock of plastic material that has been produced so far in the world of furniture, as a demonstration of the will of Kartell to overcome a more time the barriers of technological challenges.

Kartell is famous throughout the world for having invented the culture of furniture and furniture for plastic interiors. Kartell was founded in 1949 by Giulio Castelli, a chemical engineer moved by an inspiration: to create objects from plastic, a material of applications little explored until that moment. He then began a fruitful collaboration with the great designer Gino Colombini, winner of the company's first Compasso d'Oro prize in 1955. From the beginning Kartell's goal was to "brighten up the domestic landscape", becoming one of the main promoters of the plastic in the world of decoration and interior design, although in its beginnings they are more related to the manufacture of automobile accessories in 1949. It expanded into home furnishings in 1963.
